Oregon Ice Cream Company was built on solid values of high quality and customer service, which continue today. The Story behind the story: Julie is the wife of Oregon Ice Cream Company owner Tom Gleason. Shortly after acquiring the company in 1996, Tom kept finding Haagen Dazs in his home freezer. After continually hiding and disposing of this ‘foreign’ ice cream (which went over not so well) he asked his wife, ‘Why do you keep buying it?’ Julie replied, ‘Make me something that is pure and better than Haagen Dazs, something that is truly made from the best ingredients, clean, no preservatives, no pesticides, child friendly … and indulgent.’ Julie’s Organic Ice Cream was born!” |
